Annabelle Hair Bow Clip Holder

My passion for transforming old flat round bamboo baskets into incredible crafts keeps going on with the amazing Annabelle hair bow hanger for the wall.

Honestly, unlike other girls who love fairy tales or Disney Princesses, my 12-year-old niece is interested in monsters and weird characters in movies, Annabelle is one of them. So do I.

Therefore, instead of making a cute princess, she and I have decided to customize Annabelle hair clip holder DIY

This unique DIY craft doesn’t take much to make! Simple, easy, and inexpensive to make like this is ideal for hanging the room year-round.

What You Need

  • Flat round bamboo basket
  • Yarn
  • Acrylic paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun

Step by Step Tutorial: How to Make Annabelle Hair Bow Clip Holder?

Trace the two half faces of Annabelle, the real Annabelle doll and the Conjuring Annabelle doll, into the flat round bamboo basket.

Paint the entire face with acrylic colors. Embellish the two faces with two different styles. Paint the left side face first with a white face, then do the right one with brown. Actually, because of the available brown of the basket, I don’t paint the brown on the face anymore.

Take 25 strings of red yarns at 3″ of each for the left face to make the bang. Then loop the yarns and cut them off at one end. Divide the strings into two equal groups and tie them to secure. Do the same with the yellow yarns for the right side face.

Glue the red and yellow yarns on the edge of the basket to form bangs.

Trim the bangs as long as they don’t cover the eyebrows of the two faces’ Annabelle.

Cut strings of yearns with 30″ in length for the hair. Prepare two sections, red and yellow, for the two sides of the face.

Attach the hair around Annabelle’s face.

For each side of the face, split the hair up bunches of 10 strings each and braid them then. At the bottom of the hair, use a tiny string of yarn to tie it up. Repeat for another braid.

Once the face has completed, cut a short length of twine and tie the ends together, making a knot. Glue the twine onto the back of the DIY hair accessory holder.

Spruce the funny Halloween doll up with all the gorgeous hair bows!

Can I Customize the Craft with Other Characters?

For me, the Annabelle hair clip holder appeals to me a lot as it fits my taste. I realize it adds an element of distinctness to the corner of the home.

I think the Annabelle hair bow holder will also go great with Halloween-themed decoration.

That to me, is what a wonderful homemade bow holder looks like. However, if you find the idea pretty spooky to carry out, you might want to check out other girly and nicer decor you can build.

The recommendations are Rapunzel Princess, Little Mermaid – Ariel or any beautiful princess with long hair.

There are plenty of great ideas suitable for our decorations to bring the simple and easy style together. Depending on the character you customize, you can create one or two braids for her.

Moreover, you don’t even need to tie her hair. Just feel free to make what you love!

What Other Supplies Should I Use to Make the Face of My Craft?

Since the face of the hair bow holder must be a key to the impression of the craft, you need to make sure it looks great.

In case you don’t have access to flat round bamboo baskets at your home, visit local craft stores for it. Also, you can easily check online craft supply stores to buy them.

It’s optional to use other supplies to create the face for the homemade hair bow holder. If you still find it hard to get the bamboo baskets, you can even use something as simple as cardboard paper to make the face.

On the condition that you desire to make it sturdier, a wood circle serves well for embellishment. You easily afford to get the alternative material because of the reasonable price from the local craft stores.

You can also cut your fabric from an old T-shirt in two 10″ circles, sew them together and stuff polyfill into for a soft face.

Actually, there are always options available to get whatever you have on hand to create your own hair bow hanger for the wall. The possibilities are endless, so let your creativity flourish.

Have a super-duper creation!
