25 Easy Ways to Style Your Home For Summer

In honor of the official start of summer I’ve rounded up some summer decorating inspiration for you – and bonus – most of these are DIY!  Here are 25 ways to style your home for summer.

25 ways to style your house for summer by The Domestic Heart I’ve come up with 5 ideas for easy summer decorating, each in 5 different styles or themes.

  1. Hang a banner – this is the quickest way to add a little summer style to your mantel, sideboard, headboard, entryway…I could go on.  Banners are super cute and really trendy – and most importantly, a great DIY project!
  2. Change out your pillow covers – another easy and economical DIY project thats great for your sofa or your bed.
  3. Decorate your mantel- what better place to create a summer-themed vignette than the focal point of your living space? -and you can fill it with your DIY decor projects :)
  4. Hang a wreath – you can make a wreath (DIY, hello!) for pretty much any theme, holiday, or style.  They look great to welcome guests at the front door, or hanging above your mantel.
  5. Change up your bedding – you can probably find (or make) a duvet cover that says “summer” to go with almost any decor.  If you’re not up to buying, or making, a new duvet cover or quilt, try a pretty throw and some new pillow covers.

Here are our 5 ways of decorating for summer, in 5 different styles:
